A CRESMED international training session was held on 21st and 22nd of October 2008 in Rabat, Morocco. The objective was to present the CRESMED project achievements to date and to foster knowledge transfer with key actors in charge of rural electrification.
This session was organised by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), in collaboration with the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (ISESCO), in the framework of a regional experts meeting dealing with “Renewables development strategies and perspectives in Maghreb countries”. Several countries such as Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Burkina, Mali, and Guinea were represented in this meeting. Approximately 20 persons attended the one and half day CRESMED training during which the following presentations were proposed:
